Meet Our Team!
Hey ! Welcome to CommonStory, I hope you enjoy the program, but before we get started let me tell you a bit about myself. My name is Laura Wiebe and I am a 20-year-old, 3rd-year student at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. I am currently studying International Development and Canadian Studies . I have always had a love for communication and because of that, I have been able to meet and connect with many people around the globe. Above all, I have developed a genuine love for people.
Growing up in a small town in SouthWestern Ontario, Canada, and leaving home at 14 and moving to an even smaller town to attend high school, followed by a move to a big city I have been able to see and hear a lot of different stories. This is where my inspiration to create this program comes from. We all have a story to tell, and no matter where in the world we may live, youth share common struggles, common hopes, and a common philosophy.
I hope this project creates a platform where youth can discover and pursue those similarities, discuss differences and above all create a genuine connection. Although certain issues and barriers may seem impossible to solve or overcome, the tasks at hand do not seem as daunting if you can puresue them with like minded people.

Hi everyone, my name is Abigail. As a child I have always been fascinated with stories, and reading. I loved knowing about the adventures people have throughout their lives, the different perspectives, challenges, and dreams. This is why I love the idea of CommonStory and believe in the power of each and every one of your stories. We have a chance to inspire, encourage and connect with youth all around the world in a meaningful way with this project.
Writing, reading and anticipating a letter, is such a meaningful act, and I can not wait to see the impact it makes in your lives! I hope you will be able to look past our difference in locations and see the common story we all share!
